today i learnt several things:
- i learnt about the kind of person i would be if i remained a christian-ish Humanist, rather than a Christian with humanist ideals. i realised the difference which my conversion made.
- i believe that God is in control and that he is bigger than everything that's happening.
- three values (among others) made my city great: being clean, being hardworking, and being smart.
- i am no longer certain these reside here anymore, or at least we aren't taking in this kind of people.
"For wisdom is protection just as money is protection, but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the lives of its possessors." Ecc 7:12
- skills and friends are both a hedge.
- but what if it is a case where knowledge and wisdom are exclusive?
"MYSTERY
BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
...The woman that you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth." Rev 17
- not a city, but a City (think concept, rather than place. the Bible is very conceptual.
- would we be willing to see our beloved city become a prostitute, or flee?

Sounds like a big day.
There's a lot to chew on in this little post.
